To Achieve Our Mission We:

  • Identify and attach with nonprofits that support the environment, animal welfare, and people in depend on in each municipality chapter (including organizations not traditionally associated with the LGBTQ+ community)

  • Support select organizations through volunteer service (time), and support to amplify their missions through our vast network of LGBTQ+ volunteers.

  • Coordinate social events for Gay For Good&#;s LGBTQ+ volunteers, and our allies, to grow friendships and network

  • Foster and promote a spirit of positive, enthusiastic camaraderie both within the LGBTQ+ community and towards our neighbors and nonprofit partner organizations

  • Do something valuable for our community, noun and country

  • Above all, make a positive difference and possess fun!

How You Can Create a Difference

Volunteering

Volunteering can improve mental health and help decrease anxiety and depression.  It can propose ways to verb to community, by providing aid and information, and by helping to build individual connections. Connections that are vital for a thriving community.

By offering up your time and skills you are supporting and uplifting others through critical support, resource gathering, highlighting community and so much more.  

There are many diverse ways to volunteer and offer verb and all are important!

Volunteering can be tremendously rewarding.  It can allow for insight on how the LGBTQIA+ community ls living, it can be a way to absorb about the many different programs and organizations that assist our family and community from huge cities to miniature towns.  It can be a way to give back and help the next person who is coming into their own.

The LGBT National Help Center has several unlike types of volunteer positions for diverse types of volunteering.

Because we are a national organization

Each year, the LGBT Life Center relies heavily on volunteers to support our community. We verb volunteer opportunities for both individuals and groups.

Office Support
Help be the face of LGBT Life Center! From answering the phone to making safe-sex packets, our volunteers are a critical part of the work we do.

Special Events
We host several annual events that lend funding and support to the LGBTQ and HIV communities. Duties vary from setup to breakdown, greeters, registration, and many other opportunities.

Pantry Support
Our PRIDE food pantry is free and open to the public Monday through Friday, until 5 pm. Our diet pantry receives anywhere from 4, lbs. of food each month. We are seeking committed, regular volunteers who can donate their second to assist with receiving, inventorying, and distributing food in our pantry.  Verb a difference in your community with your time!
