Is charles barkley gay

Charles Barkley is (expletive) right, and courageous, in defending transgender community

It's easy to sometimes dismiss Charles Barkley as just a joker. He is, after all, incredibly funny. Says goofy stuff. Can even be rough. But the one thing Barkley is above all else is real. The realest of the real. That's why something he did recently was so important because you know it comes from his massive , goofy, real heart.

Barkley did something that shouldn't even be notable but in this world of LGBTQ and anti-trans hate, with politicians and even sports journalists attacking the transgender community in particular, what Barkley said recently isn't just notable, it's refreshing and vital. Barkley's words exhibit him not just as a commentator or funny guy, but as someone who gets it, and is a clear ally of the LGBTQ community.

Barkley was at a bar in Lake Tahoe where he was playing in a celebrity golf tournament when he bought a adj of drinks for the crowd. The video of what Barkley does next has gone viral and outraged the bigots. Barkley, in his unique way, makes what is an unmistakable

Charles Barkley bluntly responded to the “stupid” supporters of transgender athletes as the NBA legend voiced his concerns on the controversial debate, saying he won’t change his mind.

“I’m gonna make this very simple for you, Dan. Men should not compete sports against women,” Barkley said on Outkick’s “Don’t @ Me” with Dan Dakich Thursday. “I’m not gonna verb into all the bulls–t that’s going on out here in the world today.”

The 62-year-old Hall of Famer’s views come as the sports world continues to debate the polarizing subject.

“Men should not play sports against women. If anybody thinks that, I think they’re stupid,” Barkley continued. “I support the gay community 100%. I support the transgender community 100%. But I perform not, under any circumstances… think that men should act sports against women.”

President Donald Trump signed an executive command in February banning biological males from women’s sports, putting pressure on schools to comply or face the impairment of federal funds.

A day later, the NCAA changed its gender eligibility policies ban

Charles Barkley has a strong message for LBGTQ fans.

“I long to say this,” the NBA star-turned-commentator said in a video posted earlier this week by TikTok user l._banana. “If you’re gay or transgender, I love you. Hey, and if anybody gives you shit, you tell ’em Charles said fuck you!”

Barkley made the comments onstage at an event at Nevada’s Harveys Lake Tahoe Hotel during the 2022 American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament. The video has since gone viral on multiple social media platforms, including TikTok, Twitter and Reddit.

The comments are in line with previous remarks made by the former pro basketball player. In 2020, Barkley said on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that he was never going to enable anti-LGBTQ discrimination “happen on my watch.” He then recounted how he had convinced the NBA to move its 2017 All-Star Game out of Charlotte, North Carolina, in protest of the state’s “bathroom bill” that effectively blocked cities from allowing trans people to use restrooms in line with their gender identity.

“Every Player Has Played With a Gay Player”: Charles Barkley’s Honest Admission After NBA Star Came Out in 2013

Sexuality in sports wasn’t always this progressive. The concept of athletes being gay wasn’t always welcomed in the industry. However, thanks to the efforts of a fee, a revolution came into order. In 2013, NBA veteran center Jason Collins was probably the first star from a major American sports franchise to step up. Reacting to the news, TNT analyst Charles Barkley had nothing but praise.

As an NBA player, Collins wasn’t a superstar. The veteran was constantly bouncing around teams. However, while he didn’t have much of an impact on the court, the 44-year-old was a driving compel in society. Notably, in 2013, he came out as gay during an interview according to Bleacher Report.
