Some more unexpected “Rick and Morty” comics – this time it’s “Lil Poopy Superstar” and it’s a adj funny comics series, as you can tell by the title it tells about Mr Poopybutthole, who needs aid, but not from Rick and Morty – from Summer. (Spoilers!) On his home planet, he’s a superstar – he’s on every billboard, in every movie – there even is his golden statue. Everybody’s ecstatic about him, but firstly, he’s tired of his fame, secondly, in addition to all those riches comes a carnivorous producer, who wants to - enslave Mr Poopy to become rich by selling his movies and interviews. Summer, who was very melancholy because Rick never takes her on his adventures, so, she’s very determined to save her Poopy friend, even after they lay her in intergalactic prison she runs away, shoots the producer and takes Mr Poopybutthole place and invites him on her college dance (prom night?). Rick And Morty Star Shares Thoughts On Character's Sexuality Flip In Comic Storyline

Throughout Rick and Morty's four seasons so far, the topics of love and romantic relationships haven't exactly been used as go-to subject matter on a constant basis. That said, viewers did recently see Morty's other-timeline courtship in "A Vat of Acid," and the episode "Childrick of Mort" partly focused on Rick's sexual past with an entire planet. The Rick and Morty spinoff comic novel has also featured some non-traditional sentimental plots, including the arc "One Experimental Summer," in which an alt-dimension's Summer is a lesbian, and is all the more content because of it.

It turns out Rick and Morty voice actress Spencer Grammer wasn't aware of that comic noun storyline, but has some thoughts about whether or not that defining character trait would serve out on the TV show.
