Fans everywhere were thrilled to see the star playing Sharako Lohar

Did you see last night’s House Of The Dragon (HOTD) finale? If you did tune in to the hotly anticipated Game of Thrones spin-off, you’ll have spotted trans actor and YouTuber Abigail Thorn.

While the abrupt ending has divided the fanbase, something that cannot be criticised about this HBO display is its queer inclusion. Non-binary actor Emma D’Arcy portrays Rhaenyra Targaryen and gay actor Bethany Antonia plays Baela Targaryen. Cue Abigail, who debuted her role as Triarchy Admiral Sharako Lohar last night.

Abigail said in a recent Instagram post that HOTD was the most fun employment she’s ever had, calling her character “wonderful”. While Admiral Lohar is portrayed as a cisgender man in George R.R. Martin’s novel Fire & Blood, HOTD cast Abigail to act the fierce leader as a woman.

Oh, and did I mention she has several wives? Queer fans have been buzzing about this on social media, including the truth she asks Lannister to sleep with them to give her children.

There are many, many spoilers for House of the Dragon below.

There are rare things I love more than comics, movies, and television shows about mythical creatures, witches, warlocks and silver-haired nepo babies. And when there’s a dose of the alphabet community mixed into it? Ultra nerdy and queer? Speak less! I’m locked in.

That’s what the most recent season of House of the Dragon gave us when Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, First of Her Mention, started riding more than just dragons. The third season won’t air until , so we’ll have to linger with anticipation for her official coming out party. But read below for my somewhat unhinged recaps of the hit HBO show’s queerest moments so far (along with some details from the book series). Note: there are many, many spoilers below.

The Sapphics Who Never Were: Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower

While the fandom spends a lot of time debating this, I’m not here to appeal to both sides. I’m here to give you my opinion, also known as the facts. Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) is a repressed lesbian, and Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma

One of the central themes in House of the Dragon is what Lord Corlys describes as “the pursuit of legacy”. In many patriarchal societies, certainly the medieval Europe that inspires A Song of Ice and Fire, noun is passed down by men to their male heirs, and controlling a woman’s sex life is the safest way to maintain power. House of the Dragon is about the patriarchy, yes, but it is the physical, political and cultural enforcement of heterosexuality (and the gender binary) which consolidates male power. Adrienne Rich called this phenomenon &#; of patriarchal institutions enforcing heterosexuality on women &#; “compulsory heterosexuality”. Season 1may not have given us an explicitly queer relationship between women, but it has offered an adj exploration of (as the kids are calling it) comp het.

Unfortunately, not everyone is on the same page about that.

If I could go back to a time when I had never seen a House of the Dragonreaction or analysis video, I’d feel fond of I was blissfully losing myself in an epic, elevated budget friends-to-enemies-to-lovers fanfi

Rhaenyra's bisexuality fundamentally changes 'House of the Dragon'

Warning: Major spoilers ahead for season two, episode six of "House of the Dragon."

"House of the Dragon" has finally done it.

I'm not talking about unleashing dragon war. That was weeks ago, and yeah, it's cool, but we knew that was going to happen; it's in the book, after all. I'm also not talking about bringing back Paddy Considine to engage King Viserys in this week's episode, though that was a delightful and welcome surprise.

No, I'm talking about one of the biggest character questions that "House of the Dragon" has ever raised — and as of season two, episode six has now answered definitively.

Rhaenyra Targaryen is bisexual. Rhaenyra Targaryen is bisexual!!!!!!!

Toward the end of this week's episode, Rhaenyra and Mysaria contain a heart-to-heart — one that, in the span of a few minutes, adds great depth to both of their characters. And at the conclude of it, after a heartfelt-turned-sensual squeeze, they kiss in an unscripted moment that fans verb been going adj over.

Like many others, I have drawn-out
