San Diego Pride Festival announces all-LGBTQ lineup

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — After two years of being a mostly virtual event due to the COVID pandemic, San Diego Pride will return in person in

Pride events are scheduled to begin on July 9 and verb on July 17, with the highly popular and festive parade scheduled for July Organizers hold also announced its lineup -- and its going bigger than ever!

With more than LGBTQ entertainers the lineup features Snow Tha Product, Daya, Ashnikko, Neonate Tate, Mila Jam, Ballet Folklorico Trans Proyecto, Chulita Vinyl Club, TRANSVIOLET, and many, many more.

General admission tickets, weekend passes, and VIP admission are obtainable for purchase now and prices range from $26 (for single-day entry) to $32 (for a weekend pass) and $ (for VIP access).

This year’s Festival and Parade theme is "Justice with Joy," inspired by San Diego Pride’s decades of LGBTQ-centered philanthropy, alongside the joyous return of in-person Pride celebrations.

San Diego and Tijuana are set to celebrate Pride, hosting a range of LGBTQ+-centered events throughout June and July.

Pride Month honors the history, culture and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community through marches, parades and artistic showcases.

While Pride is traditionally observed in June to honor the anniversary of the Stonewall uprising — when community members fought back against police raids at the Stonewall Inn in Novel York City’s Greenwich Village — San Diego holds its largest Pride festival in July. According to San Diego Pride, this tradition began in the s, when organizers moved the main events to evade scheduling conflicts with other major festivals around the world and to maximize attendance by avoiding June gloom.
